A native of Brattleboro (VT), I had just completed my junior year at the
School of The Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University, Boston (MA) prior
to the 2002 Australia media program. Before transferring to The Museum
of Fine Arts in 2000, I had attended Syracuse University. Although my
program has no majors, my focus is photography. I do a lot of graphic
design work and bookmaking. One of my recent projects is an international
mail art project called "Postmarked: a mail art project" (www.postmarked2boston.org).I
have taken classes in different aspects of political science including
the study of religion in international relations, militarism, and globalization.
The Australia media program fulfilled my goal of both studying abroad
and learning about things that are of special interest to me. Ultimately,
I hope to find work as a photographer for environmental organizations,
social movements, or special interest publications.
